Firstly, dry the spillage with a towel or sponge. Do not rub it! If you do, this will become further absorbed into the fabric.
Then, cover the area with a damp towel and apply pressure. Do not apply any detergents. As applying detergents will increase the build-up of residue, therefore the stain may not be completely removed.
